Four development trends of auto parts industry

The global automobile industry, which has a history of one hundred years, is in a period of great changes in various technologies and innovative applications. New energy, intelligent interconnection and automatic driving have become the main trends in the future development of the automobile industry. The global automobile industry is undergoing all-round reform and innovation, ushering in unprecedented opportunities and challenges, and each component of the automobile is the basic carrier leading its reform and innovation.

Looking at the current auto parts industry, there are four major development trends.

① Globalization of procurement

In the context of globalization, facing the increasingly fierce competition, the world's major auto companies in order to reduce costs, expand the production scale and gradually reduce the self-made rate of auto parts, adopt the global procurement strategy. At the same time, in order to obtain greater benefits, international parts suppliers reduce or even stop the production of some of their non competitive products, and turn to purchase products with comparative advantages in the world.

② System supporting and modular supply are gradually rising

The increasingly fierce market competition forces vehicle manufacturers to purchase the whole system instead of single parts. This change is not only beneficial for vehicle manufacturers to make full use of the professional advantages of parts enterprises, but also simplifies the product supporting links and shortens the new product development cycle. As the system suppliers increasingly participate in the R & D, design and production process of new products of vehicle manufacturers, their technical and economic strength is gradually strong. System supporting has given birth to the modular supply of parts enterprises. In the modular supply, parts enterprises undertake more new product and new technology development work. Vehicle manufacturers are increasingly dependent on parts enterprises in terms of products and technology, and the position of parts enterprises in the automotive industry is becoming more and more important.

③ Speed up industrial transfer

The high labor cost in Europe, America, Japan and other developed countries leads to the lack of cost advantage of auto parts products produced in these countries. In order to cope with the market competition, the large-scale auto parts enterprises in the above-mentioned countries have accelerated the speed of industrial transfer. They not only transfer manufacturing links to low-cost countries and regions on a large scale, but also gradually extend the scope of transfer to R & D, design, procurement, sales and after-sales service. The scale of transfer is becoming larger and higher. China, India and other countries have become the main destinations to attract the transfer of global auto parts industry.

④ The market share of advantageous enterprises is gradually concentrated in

Under the background of increasingly detailed specialized division of labor, vehicle manufacturers have changed from the traditional vertical operation and the pursuit of large and comprehensive production mode to the specialized production mode of streamlining organization and focusing on the development of vehicle projects. In the industry, a pyramid structure of multi-level division of labor has been formed, including first-class parts suppliers, second-class parts suppliers and third-class parts suppliers. Generally speaking, the lower the level, the more suppliers there are at that level. The current large-scale group of parts manufacturers has gradually led to the corresponding changes in the structure between vehicle manufacturers and first-class parts suppliers, and the number of first-class parts suppliers is decreasing. With the deepening of parts enterprise group, the automobile industry has increasingly formed a structure that a few parts enterprises monopolize the production of a certain part and provide it to a number of vehicle manufacturers.
